My love of art began in childhood when I would sit for hours and color in one of my dozens of color books and design outfits for my paper dolls.  I became "serious" with my training in the 7th grade when I took art class as an elective and won the school art prize.  My career choices led me away from art and into writing, advertising and marketing communications which allowed me to be on the periphery as an art director on company publications.  Finally retirement gave me the time and interest to get back to creating art.  In 2013 I began to take art workshops and now I bounce from workshop to workshop learning from artists I admire who push me to step out of my comfort zone.  I hope you like my work and I appreciate you taking the time to view it and to read some of my writing.
